Accept verified bank check payments that you deposit at your own bank.

== Description ==

DepositMark lets your customers pay from their checking account. At checkout they are sent to a secure DepositMark page, where they enter their account, confirm it by logging in to their bank, and authorize a one-time check. You then print the check from the order screen and deposit it at your own bank. DepositMark never holds your money.

* Works with the classic and the block checkout, and with High-Performance Order Storage.
* Orders wait On hold and are marked paid when the check clears, or as soon as the payment is approved if you choose.
* Print the check, and record deposited, cleared or returned, from the order screen.
* US dollars only. Sales made by telephone are not allowed for this payment type.

== Installation ==

1. Upload and activate the plugin. WooCommerce must be active and the store must use https.
2. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > DepositMark.
3. Paste your DepositMark API key and save. The store is registered for payment updates automatically.
4. Turn the payment method on.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= When is the order marked as paid? =

By default when you record that the check cleared. You can choose to treat the order as paid as soon as DepositMark approves the payment; the check can still be returned by the bank after that.

= What do I need to print checks? =

Blank check stock and a laser printer. Most laser printers print the MICR line well and banks now process nearly all checks from images, so ordinary toner is usually accepted. Magnetic (MICR) toner is the traditional standard and a few banks still expect it, so ask your bank and make a test deposit first.
